Keegan Ferrier will be with us playing the Tin Whistle to help give our music an Irish feeling. Keegan is also a member of the Army National Guard. He will be deploying to Cuba in a few weeks. The kids will get a chance to ring the church bell during the service…so bring kids! We’ll sing Happy Birthday. We’ll interview Peggy Thompson and Nancy Eggleston on how the church has impacted their lives Pastor Darin is preaching on the FCC Value of Open Arms to All. The passage is Hebrews 13:1-3. The message is entitled “Join God’s Plan by Loving People”. Anticipate great worship by singing contemporary songs and traditional hymns: Be Thou My Vision, Great is Thy Faithfulness, & O God, Our Help in Ages Past. Immediately after the service: Birthday cake & ice cream will be served in the Family Room. Pastor Darin is leading a group that will walk from Otsego to 611 10th St, (Cornerstone Christian Center) in Plainwell, in honor of the first Congregationalists who walked there to start the church on January 8, 1837. Everyone is invited to join us. Just dress warm, wear appropriate footwear, and bring water. We leave immediately after the close of the morning service. At 1 PM, a joint Anniversary Service will be held with members of First Presbyterian Church of Plainwell at 611 10th St, (Cornerstone Christian Center). There will be hymns, prayers, a devotional thought on unity, and history about how our churches started together on the same day, as well as our shared history.
